The tour begins at 8:00 AM with a pick-up from your hotel or accommodation, followed by a scenic 1 hour and 30-minute drive to Mascarilla. Upon arrival, Betty, a proud Afro-descendant woman and leader of several community projects, will welcome you and guide you throughout the Tour Cultural Afro Mascarilla.

Your day starts with a hands-on workshop where you will learn the traditional craft of making clay masks—powerful symbols of identity and cultural expression. Step by step, you’ll create your own mask, tapping into the ancestral creativity that pulses through this vibrant community. This is one of the most memorable and meaningful parts of the Tour Cultural Afro Mascarilla.

Next, visit a local goat farm where you can participate in milking and discover how fresh goat milk is transformed into artisanal products like goat wine, manjar, and other delicacies that support the community’s economy. This agro-productive experience is a vital part of the Tour.
