Quichua Native Travel

The Living Story of Quichua Native Travel

Quichua Native Travel Cotacachi was born in 2017 from the dream of a group of young Indigenous entrepreneurs from Cotacachi, whose first language is Kichwa. Inspired by their heritage and deeply committed to their community’s wellbeing, they set out to transform tradition into opportunity through an innovative, inclusive, and regenerative tourism model.

Quichua Native Travel

From the heart of the Ecuadorian Andes, Quichua Native Travel promotes tourism with purpose—one that values connection with nature, ancestral knowledge, and Indigenous culture. This vision gave rise to our «orange tourism» approach: a blend of creativity, living culture, and sustainability.

A Name Rooted in Identity and Vision

Our name—Quichua Native Travel Cotacachi—captures both who we are and what we envision. “Quichua” honors our roots, “Native” reflects our ancestral origin, and “Travel” expresses our passion for sharing our lives with the world. The combination of Spanish and English reflects our cultural identity in a global context.

With Quichua Native Travel, we aim to tell real stories, bridge cultures, and offer authentic experiences that come from the heart of our land and our families.

Tourism That Transforms Realities

Our mission is to position Cotacachi and its Kichwa communities as regenerative tourism destinations—where every visit strengthens the local economy, empowers communities, and helps preserve our environment.

We work hand-in-hand with artisans, farmers, and wise elders so that every travel experience becomes a two-way journey of learning. With us, travelers can stay in rural lodges, take part in farming, learn traditional crafts, connect with Andean spirituality, explore ancestral medicine, enjoy traditional cooking, and discover the beauty of our textiles and rituals.

In every route, every story, and every shared journey, we foster human connection, mutual respect, and care for the Earth. To us, every visitor is more than a tourist—they are a welcome guest in our living story.
